Coaching

Surfing GB’s Coaching Accreditation Scheme provides training courses for surf coaches. The scheme has 4 levels of coaching awards and covers all abilities from instructing beginners through to International team coaching.

In many areas surfing instructors must be Surfing GB qualified before they are allowed to teach the sport. More details on the scheme and dates and venues of courses are available on the Calendar on here

Competitions

In addition to running National events Surfing GB can help clubs to run local competitions.
Entering competitions is a good way of improving your level of surfing and gives you a chance to see top surfers in action in British waves.

Insurance

All members are covered by the Surfing GB’s third party liability insurance. If you are involved in an accident whilst surfing, you are covered for claims made against you of up to £5,000,000.

This covers you for injuries to third parties and damage to their equipment.

Liability insurance is compulsory in many areas and the Surfing policy covers you anywhere in the World.
