It’s a diverse field, and there’s a ton of you out there schralping, smashing, carving and gliding across waves on boards below the 8-9ft length, but there’s something for all of you here at Surfing GB. We’re just a bunch of surfers trying to do something positive for the future, so we hope to provide info and support to everyone. In fact, we want to provide the sort of support we would want ourselves from an NGB.

So there’s going to be some info here for locals and for travelling surfers. Stuff about local shapers, local surf coaches, local clubs. There’s travel and insurance advice, contest and event information. Find out how to get away from the crowd, or how to get involved with your local scene. Surfing GB exists to serve its members and we need to hear your voice. Please look around the site, fill in the surfers’ survey, and give us some feedback on what you, as a shortboarder, want from your NGB.

Surfing GB organises a number of shortboard contests throughout the year, including the British Open titles, the British Juniors, British Schools, and British interclubs. If you’re interested, it’s simple: get involved!
