The British Longboard Union is delighted to announce that the National Trust will be its Environmental Partner for the British Longboard Championships 2012.

The 2012 National Trust British Longboard Championships will utilise the National Trust beaches of Woolacombe and Crantock within the series with Woolacombe the opening venue.

The National Trust works hard on behalf of surfers and water sports enthusiasts to conserve and protect some 10% of our coastline across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The aim of the partnership is to raise awareness of the invaluable work the National Trust does.

The judging criteria for 2012 has been changed to ensure it is in line with the latest ISA and ASP methods. The 70/30 rule is no more.
If you follow the link it will open up the guidelines.The first part is all ISA which the BLU will judge by. The criteria at the end of the document is ASP criteria and is mainly aimed at the surfers competing in ASP events.

Also, new for 2012 is a new division for those 50 yrs old and over, the Grand Masters. Old Guys rule has kindly agreed to sponsor this extra division as well as the Masters as in previous years.
