Following the recent announcement by the International Surfing Association (ISA) that the 2015 World Masters Surfing Championships will be held in Lanzarote, Canary Islands, Spain; Surfing GB invites applications for volunteer management.

The ISA World Masters Surfing Championship (WMSC) is an ISA World Championship that features the world’s best surfers over the age of 35. They compete in divisions like Men’s Masters, for those over 35 years old; Men’s Grand Masters, for those over 40 years old; Men’s Kahunas, for those over 45 years old; Men’s Grand Kahunas, for those over 50 years old; Women’s Masters, for women surfers over 35 years old.

Since the announcement of the Championships we have been inundated from Surfers wishing to represent Great Britain at the event. In keeping with recent years and our work with the GB Juniors and due to the lack of funding, this will be a self-funded and self-organised representation with the support of Surfing GB and any Sponsors Surfing GB can attract to support this campaign.
